Iceland and My Life Surrendered

life laid down births new things - greater than before.

we saw this in Christ, the ultimate example - His life for mine, that I may have Life Abundant. a Love so lavish that Jesus would die for me while He was the farthest person from my mind.

the past 2 years in nashville, tennessee have wrecked me and been some of the most incredible years of my life. passing the torch and laying down my own ambitions, I discovered for the first time what it is to be a child of God, for Jesus to be the source of my life, and what an incredible adventure it is to live led by the Holy Spirit. God has become Three and transformation has marked my life ever since - I will never be the same.

countless miracles have come to pass that I've been honored to witness from this place - the Lord continues to bring Heaven to Earth through my dear friends and Spirit-filled musicianaries, with the dawn of Come&Live, as Chad Johnson, The Ember Days, Ascend the Hill and others sing truth and speak life to countless people. kids getting healed and delivered at shows, being able to pray for some who for the first time have experienced God's incredible love for them. discovering my identity in Christ while serving tables as a waitress and seeing the Lord move and pour joy into people at a little east nashville restaurant, yes! To be doing life alongside such an incredible church family is a GIFT. And in my amazing house - 902 girls (and Lori!) - dear sisters, fighting for each other in prayer and growing with you have made me who I am. THANK YOU.

hitting even closer to home, I can't help but revel in the miracle of change He's done in me as He grows and transforms me more each day.

from the most seemingly unlikely of places, the Lord has picked me up and drawn me into His heart. new dreams are awakening there.

here, Iceland has my heart - what began as an epic hitchhiking adventure around the island in 2009, has blossomed into a story the Lord has continued to write in me - huge compassion for the Icelandic people, for young people, for the nations - ultimately, the story of my life in Him - Jesus consuming me.

This journey of faith is THE most incredible adventure. Learning where I'm rooted, being freed from attachment to places and circumstances, and finding my home in Jesus has freed me to soar on the wings of His Spirit, and honestly, there's no place I'd rather be, than here in His everlasting arms.
